ACCOUNT & PRIVACY
Daytely privacy and data basics
Daytely is designed for dates and the context needed to remember them. Data minimization—keeping only what serves that purpose—is a useful habit.
Know the website and app are different contexts
The public website can receive invite, newsletter and contact submissions when you choose to send them. Its privacy policy explains those records. Product data should follow the app’s published controls and documentation.
Share the minimum
A date may need a familiar name and a note; it rarely needs legal identifiers or sensitive history. If information is not necessary for the reminder, leave it out.
Respect other people’s information
A contact’s birthday and preferences concern them too. Use information you are entitled to keep, avoid surprise profiling and honor requests to update or remove it.
Use the right tool for sensitive records
Choose dedicated, secure services for passwords, health records, financial information and identity documents. Daytely reminders can point to an action without containing the protected material.
