REMINDERS & RECURRENCE
Understanding one-time, monthly and yearly recurrence
Recurrence tells Daytely when a date should return. It does not confirm that the underlying appointment, fee or relationship remains unchanged.
Use one-time for a single occurrence
A particular appointment, event or filing deadline usually happens once. Create a new record if the next occurrence will have different details.
Use monthly for a stable day pattern
Monthly recurrence suits a date that returns on the same calendar day. Months have different lengths, so verify how end-of-month cases are handled.
Use yearly for anniversaries
Birthdays, anniversaries and annual renewals usually repeat on the same month and day. Check leap-day conventions and dates tied to changing calendars.
Reconfirm practical events
A recurring reminder can outlive a subscription, provider or appointment. Review practical dates regularly and archive those that no longer exist.
COMMON QUESTIONS
A few useful answers.
Does recurrence renew a subscription automatically?
No. Daytely only reminds you; it does not charge, cancel or renew services.
Are monthly reminders exactly the same number of days apart?
No. Calendar months vary from 28 to 31 days.
Should every anniversary be yearly?
Usually, but the decision is yours. Some milestones may be better kept as a one-time memory.
